"I need to first thank Orbit Racing and Mission Foods for giving me this opportunity," Avemarg said. "I had some trouble yesterday with the car not being aero-efficient, but we worked hard on the car all day to get it back running smooth. Thanks to HSR and my parents for letting me race." Gary Ball visited the podium again, claiming second in his #591 Porsche 997 Cup car. Ball started Race 2 in the sixth position and worked his way toward the front of the field. On lap 3, a caution came out, and on the restart Gary worked his way to the front of the field by passing the #811 and taking the second position. "I love this kind of racing. This was a lot of fun, and I can't believe in my first race that I got two trophies," Ball said. Rounding out the top 3 was Brady Refenning in the #811 08 Porsche 997. Brady started in the fifth position and when the caution came out Brady was in the second position.
